Creating a .tax file

I'm starting my 2025 return by trying to import by importing my 2024 return, but I have it saved only as a PDF file, and it will accept only a .tax file. 
But I still have my 2024 return on the laptop (mac). Can I use this program to create a .tax 2024 file for importing? If so, how do it do it?

Yes that should work.   Launch the 2024 program, let it update,  and see if you can get your 2024 return to open up in it.   Then save it, File-Save.   Then try to transfer it into 2025.   People are having trouble transferring 2024 in Mac.   Several ways to fix it.  A lot of people get it to work by just closing the 2025 program and transferring again.

Closing out the 2025 program and reopening it worked. I guess that's the equivalent of "unplug the device for :30 seconds and plug it back in. 😂 Thanks.
