Control number D is empty

No problem. 

Just leave the control number box blank - it is not required to file your return.

 

See the FAQ below for more information:  I have no box D or Control Number on my W-2

Control number D is empty

No problem. 

Just leave the control number box blank - it is not required to file your return.
