My child is a full time student and made over $8000 this year. I am able to claim her on my taxes and will she be able to file herself and possibly get a refund?

How old is she? If she is under 24 and a full time student you can still claim her no matter how much she makes. Be sure on her return she says she can be claimed on someone else’s return.
