My father passed away last year. My mother will file as married jointly. Can I claim my father as a dependent as I was paying for at least 51% of support and he only received Social Security?

No. If your mother is filing married filing jointly with your father, you cannot claim him as a dependent.

No. If your mother is filing married filing jointly with your father, you cannot claim him as a dependent.

Can I claim my little brother as a dependent? His legal guardian, our father, abandoned him onto my uncle but we haven't gotten the legal guardianship changed yet.
