child tax credit under TN Visa parent is not eligible?

why my child doesn't get 2000 child tax credit?

1. he has ITIN (NOT ssn)

2. he is under 17y

3. he lives under my whole year.

Is there still anything missing? The IRS document says resident alien. Isn't he resident alien?

Anybody also have the same experience as me?

You cannot get the child tax credit for a child who does not have a SSN.  You can get the $500 credit for other dependents if he has an ITIN.
