We appreciate the observation, and we're glad the workaround was successful. The IRS will successfully process these returns, both E-filed and paper. Paper returns are transposed and run through the Identical checks that the E-filed ones do. It just takes an extra step.
Just to clarify your question:
- Boxes 12a & 12b are posted correctly
- However, 12 c is empty
- But Box 14 is correct
- Are you using Online, or Desktop software
- What version are you using (Free, Deluxe, Premier, Self-employed)
The reason I ask is that I did post a return with similar information, and 12c is correctly posted.
