My return automatically starts me off with "Self-employed". How do I change that? I've already started the return, noticed the wrong product, and cleared the return to try and start again. However, it still comes up with self-employed with no option to select something different.

If you clear and start over, you should see a menu displaying all versions of TurboTax that you can use from. Try the directions for Clear and Start Over and see whether you can select another product.
Choose Free. TurboTax will ask you to upgrade within the program when necessary.
Can I downgrade to a lower-priced version of TurboTax Online?
When I clear and start over, I do not get a choice. It automatically shows up in the top left as self-employed. No options are presented. It acts as though I have already selected self-employed.
Have you already submitted payment or deducted the TurboTax fee from your refund? If so, the clear and start over option won't be available. If not, please post here in the thread and someone will be happy to assist you further.
