Rental depreciation is unavailable until at least Feb 11. I was going to just remove it and not claim the depreciation since it effects capital gains calculations and I plan on selling my rental within a few years anyways, but the system will not even let me remove the asset altogether. I get the same message that it's unavailable until February. Pretty ridiculous.

Latest estimate is Feb 13.
I am ready to file, but can't because of this issue. So I calculated my depreciation myself and could enter the value now, but TurboTax won't even let me do that. The lack of meaningful communication and the lack of flexibility are making me lose trust in Intut.
I was advised yesterday by management that the work on the depreciation section of TurboTax is continuing and expected to be completed with an update coming the evening of Thursday, February 19th.
Among the reasons for delays this year is low staffing at the IRS to implement all of the recent tax law changes including changing forms and instructions. For example, Treasury and IRS just released guidance on the permanent 100% additional first year depreciation deduction on January 14, 2026.
