Cannot pay filing fee

Hi Turbo Tax,

I'm at checkout page and already entered my credit card information, but cannot make the transaction, because it keeps saying the card information is not correct. I'm now living in Vietnam, so I entered my Vietnam billing address, but cannot do it because the "State" field only allows selection of a US state.

Please help me, I want to pay the filing fee to complete my tax filing. But I do not have any working credit card in the US, as I moved to Vietnam since 2020.

Thank you.

Uyen

Cannot pay filing fee

I believe some people have been able to pay with a debit card (or prepaid card).

Perhaps do a search for one of those.

TO pay via credit/debit card, three requirements must be met.

 - The card must be in U.S. funds

 - The card must be issued by a U.S. bank

 - The billing address and phone number must be a U.S. Address and phone number.

What you can do, is visit the nearest U.S. Embassy or consulate office with a banking facility, and purchase a pre-paid VISA that meets the 1st two criteria. All U.S. Embassy's have a US banking faciliity in them, and most consulate offices do. So if a consulate office is closer for you, call them before making the trip to confirm you can purchase a pre-paid VISA in US funds there.
When you get home with the pre-paid visa, read the instructions that come with it to find out where to go online to register it. You can register it with any "VALID" U.S. address and a valid U.S. phone number. Then give it about four hours for your registration to propagate whereever it needs to. Then you should be able to pay with that pre-paid VISA.
