Cannot change my direct debit account information!

When I go to pay my taxes for this year I cannot change my routing or account number. It only lets select the account I used last year. I wanted to use a different bank account this year. This is ridiculous!!!! There is no option to change the account or routing number.

If you haven't filed your return yet, you can still change your routing number for your direct deposit. See the following TurboTax help article for the steps on how to do this:

If you have already filed your return:

• If the account you provided is invalid, the IRS will mail you a refund check.  
• If you gave the wrong account, you can call the IRS at 800-829-1040 and ask to stop the direct deposit and send you a check.
• If your return gets rejected, you can go back and change the information on your return before filing it again.
