Activation eventually times out and tells me I don't have an Internet connection. That is not true. I downloaded the software and I'm posting this issue. Can someone please tell me how to get past this problem?

In other threads, folks have found out that there IS a problem with the TTX servers for the activation code.
Some got thru later some haven't....could be spotty until that server is fully fixed....but it is being worked on.
Should be fixed by tomorrow, so wait until then to try again.

In the interest of full disclosure, I cannot confirm if this resolved the issue or not, but the activation server being down would make some sense. Before this post, I got a response from Amazon (paraphrasing) that lots of people were having similar issues and they would issue a refund if I called them. I did that and got a refund instead of proceeding with attempting to solve it. To be clear... the error message in TurboTax made no sense. It indicated a problem with "my" network; not with something on the TurboTax side. Online help attempted to send me down the rabbit trail of firewall settings, etc. None of this was an issue, so it appeared - to the end user (me) - that the software is broken. At this point, I can neither confirm nor deny if that's the case. But I suspect, if the activation server was down, and now it is not, that one could probably activate the software. I could not.
Just downloaded 1/27 - will not activate - tried 3 times
Well its 3 weeks on and I cannot activate my turbotax - I login to Inituit.com and then TurboTax just endlessly displays is "busy" graphic
1) IF Windows OS, update your OS and reboot even if no updates are available
...Still No Go...
2) Y'all need to call Customer Support....we are out of ideas here:
Will call support, this is Mac, when I launch TurboTax now, it goes straight to the spining balls graphic, if I select help center from the help menu, I get a browser page that also just spins forever. Interestingly if I leave off the `?show_upgrade=false&from=ttmac&product_id=16&cid=seq_dt_cont_help` from that url, the page loads ok.
So whatever is wrong is at the Intuit end it would seem. Using different browsers etc, clearing history, cookies etc all make no difference.
