Have you filed yet? Did the IRS send you a letter? Or are you still preparing your return?

For one thing, they reduced the withholding tables so you got more back in your paychecks each month. So you might end up owing more.

from what i heard, the iRS withholding tables were wrong resulting in under-withholding and thus a lot of people owing. there were also many changes to the tax laws which affected 2018 returns - again more people ended up owing. while not easy, you may want to try comparing 2017 to 2018
