The IRS processed federal refunds within 21 days after the acceptance of an electronically e-filed return. If you choose direct deposit, it will be deposited to the bank account specified on the income tax return.
The IRS may offset federal refunds if taxpayers owe child support, federal loans, federal, state, and local taxes. If you didn't receive your refund, you may contact the IRS @ 1-800-829-1040. You will be notified by mail regarding your refund.
Ok, but i don't I did not ask for anything that you mentioned to me, I do not know what I did wrong in my form that they took 1658 from me instead of being reimbursed for something
Can someone help me repair my federal refund?
Is there something wrong with my tax return an wen would I expect my return if I do get it
Ok, so you filed your tax return and were expecting a refund? But the IRS took money from you instead?
First, look at your actual tax return. You may have misread it, and you actually owed money all along.
If not, then the IRS likely made an adjustment and/or offset. If so, they will be sending you a letter in about 2 weeks, so wait for it. (They do not notify TT.) Adjustments are made for things like data entry errors, or forgetting to claim some income. Offsets are made for things like back taxes, child support, and student loans.
If, however, you are still working on your return and have not yet filed it, please rephrase your question so that we can better understand it.
