Get the following message when I try to submit but the information entered is correct. What do I need to do?
On Form W-2 from NTT Data Services, LLC, you entered California SDI and/or VPDI greater than $1,539.58/ Since the maximum SDI/VPDI withholding for 2021 is $1,539.58, you may have entered an incorrect code on an entry in box 14.

Please clarify - do the amounts on your W2 in box 14 for SDI or VPDI exceed $1,539.58?
The amount on my W2 exceeds the amount
You need to contact your employer. They contributed too much and they need to adjust your W2.
When I entered the amount Turbo Tax stated that I would be receiving a 1099-C from my former employer. So how do I submit my e-file my taxes now?
Did it say a 1099-C or W-2C? You should get a corrected W-2 (W-2C) from your employer before you file. File an extension if they can't get you the corrected form before 04/18. You don't want to submit the return with excess SDI on it.
Your right, W2-C. Thanks
The employer won't automatically send it, so make sure you bring this to their attention so they can start the process. They have to update the info with the IRS and then send you the corrected form. They should be aware of it by now, but never assume....
