Can't Start up Turbo Tax 2024

I am trying to look at last year's tax forms. I started up Turbo Tax and was asked to perform updates which I did.  Once that was completed Turbo Tax restarted and now the program is asking for a new activation code.  So now I cannot view last year's returns. I don't understand why a new activation is needed for software I bought and paid for last year. This is the 2024 program not a new version. How do I get around this so I can view my return form last year?
