Can't open Prior Year return

Have 2 tax returns from 2021 to import, but only primary was found and completed.

My secondary return was not found - nor was it visible to import to the current TT2022.

Reentering data is a line in the sand - need a path forward for import...

Can't open Prior Year return

Do you see the other tax file on your computer?  The data files end  in .tax2020 and should be in Documents in a Turbo Tax folder.   Or search your computer for all files ending in.tax.

And the current year program is 2021 (not 2022).   You need to transfer a 2020 file.  You're not trying to transfer 2 returns into the same 2021 return?  You need to start a new return to transfer the second one.  Go up to File - New.

Imported my 2020 file fine.  Can see the children 2020 returns on the computer, but TT21 can't open them or see them.  Very odd.  Pretty sure I'm going to the correct directory....can you confirm where they should be located?

Well you can't "open" them in 2021.  Are you starting a new return (go up to FILE-NEW)  and trying to Transfer them?  If Turbo Tax doesn't show them in the box to Transfer, you can browse to where they are.  As I said above they should be in your Documents then in a Turbo Tax folder. or you can browse to them.  Do they end in .tax2020?  Or are they just pdf files?   Exactly where are they on your computer?

I have Windows Home & Business too.  You don't see all the 2020 files when you start a New Return?  Like this?
