Can't input license code TurboTax 2021

Hi, I'm trying to use TurboTax 2021 to help do my TurboTax 2022 taxes. Trying to open my file from last year to check what I did. To my surprise the app asked me to re-input my license code. You can see the window it shows me. You can see it is cut off on the right but I can't expand it. There is no way to see a complete window. I can input the code in the box but I can't then hit return. The return key does nothing and the only active button is the 'cancel' button. So I can't open TurboTax 2021. Advice for alternate ways of inputting license code? Thanks.

Is 2021 program already installed on your computer?  Or are you reinstalling it?

Is it asking you to activate again?  Make sure your computer is the same way when you originally installed it.  Like with no flash drives plugged in or plugged in if one was.  It asked me again so I just closed the program and took out a flash drive that was plugged in and tried again.  It worked.  Or you may need to connect a flash drive or printer or something that was connected when you originally installed the program.

Thanks. I tried it once on a machine that had it installed from last year - hence should have been licensed already but somehow wasn't - and got the error. Then I tried downloading and installing it fresh - the 2021 version of the app - on another Mac and got the same error. Same half-window that can't be expanded and same space for the license code that allows input of the code but with no possibility to hit return and actually enter it. So nothing to do but hit 'cancel' at which point the app quits.

The partial window situation is solved by changing your screen resolution thru your OS ... this is not a TT progam issue. 

And you cannot use the 2021 program to complete a 2022 return.  And the 2021 code will not work on the 2022 program.

Thanks. I'll try the screen resolution trick but it seems strange that a screen resolution change would affect my ability to hit 'return'. I get it I can't do a 2022 return using 2021 software but I am confused about 2022 and want to review how I did so thing in 2021. I just want to open my own 2021 return again but am unable to do so.

The problem is not using a wrong license code either. There is simply no way to enter any license code, wrong or right.
