Form 7206 (Self-employed health insurance deduction) is finally available today (2/8/24). However, TT is telling me that I can't file electronically because of this form. Should I expect this to be cleared up soon or is this a permanent situation for this tax year?

Try closing TurboTax, clear your Cache and Cookies if you are using TurboTax Online, and reopen TurboTax. You can also try a different browser.
Also, make sure you have ran all updates.
If you are using TurboTax Desktop, check for updates under the Online Tab.

If you are still getting an error, it would be helpful to have a TurboTax ".tax2023" file that is experiencing this issue. You can send us a “diagnostic” file that has your “numbers” but not your personal information. If you would like to do this, here are the instructions: Go to the black panel on the left side of your program and select Tax Tools.

We will then be able to see exactly what you are seeing and we can determine what exactly is going on in your return and provide you with a resolution.
It is not resolved. I just downloaded the update after I saw your comment and I am getting the same error.

I don't see "tax tools" in my TurboTax Deluxe program. Can you post a screenshot?
I did send a diagnostic tool via Online > Send file to Tax agent

There is no provision to send a note. All the program does is send the file. I can't write anything to accompany the file.

My issue is that I can't file electronically because of form 7206. I am filing NJ as well.

Still a problem here, too. Have cleared cache on browswer, per TurboTax instructions, and checked for updated, and rebooted. Still says e-file not possible with form 7206. FYI after installing this morning's update, and running the review there were NO errors. I tweaked something, and now this error has come up.Oddly I have TWO form 7206s and am only getting one error.

As noted in another thread, the amount in my 7206 Line 1 is incorrect--it does not include 1095-A premiums, even tho the correct amount is reflected elsewhere in TurboTax and in my Amount Due. This seems to be a bigger problem than the inability to e-file. Who wants to file with an incorrect form.
