Turbo Tax - please fix this bug. When trying to file an Amended Return, Form 8888 is automatically generated. Unfortunately, if filing with a deceased spouse, Form 8888 prevents the filing of an Amended Return electronically. Deleting the form doesn't do any good - it just repopulates.
This is a major issue.

Sorry for your loss.
Form 8888 should be used for the direct deposit of your refund into two or more accounts. How are you requesting your refund?
@picklelady
I'm having the same issue: can't file an amended Federal 1040. Form 8888 error message: cannot be used if the taxpayer or spouse died in the current tax year.
The original 1040 had a refund going in to one account. The Amended 1040 has a tax owed. Form 8888 is not applicable in my situation and TurboTax does not allow it to be deleted.
How can I file the amended 1040? What is the work around to solve this issue?
Thanks,
Dan
Yes, you will need to delete Form 8888 from your amendment to get it e-filed.
