Can I retract an e-filing?

Accidentally re-filed my 2016 return again instead of this years. I had both windows open and didn't realize until i had sent it. Is there any way to cancel this and get my money back? I really hate to pay twice when my refund was already so much smaller than in previous years.

It is impossible to e-file a return that has already been e-filed, and it is also impossible to e-file a 2016 return.   It will be rejected; in fact there should have just been an error message for it.   You are posting from desktop software so not sure what money you think you should be getting back.  If there was something entered on that return about paying, then fear not-- it is not going to go through, so nothing you entered on it is going anywhere including any payment information.
