Can I manually put in 2017 data into 2018 version ?

I have never used turbo tax before. I would like to download and use the 2018 version (and only print out, not file my account will do that) and put my 2017 tax data in manually. Is this possible.

Why enter 2017?  You could start a fake return and enter 2017 pretending it is 2018 amounts just to see how 2017 looks on the new forms.  But you can’t enter 2017 to store it.  You can only do a 2018 return with the 2018 program.  

Are you trying to transfer 2017 into 2018?  What program did you use last year?  Here’s an article on what you need from 2017 to transfer into 2018.

Otherwise just do your 2018 return and manually enter anything it needs from your 2017 return as you go along.

No, you do not want to enter 2017 tax information into a 2018 tax return. It might be possible but it would not be productive. The tax forms alway change year to year, but from 2017 to 2018 tax forms changed quite a bit.
