Yes, you can. As long as it is postmarked by the deadline you will not receive a late filing penalty.

But be careful to not put it in too late.

 

Some post offices may be open late to collect and postmark on the 18th, and others will not. 

Check with your Post office branch that you plan to mail from. 

 

 i.e., if dumped in their branch mailbox after (say) 5 or 5:30 PM, it may not get collected and postmarked until the 19th.
