TurboTax does not allow importing of Schedule K-1 in any format, PDF or anything else. You have to enter your Schedule K-1 manually.
certain Publicly Traded Partnerships partner with Turbotax to allow import of their K-1
the initial website is
https://www.taxpackagesupport.com/ you then use the link to log into the k-1 website. after signin in look for
3 ... (going down) click on it to see if there's a download for Turbotax
Chrome works, I don't think Edge does as the browser that must be used.
any way after clicking on those 3 dots look for the link that says "export to turbotax". the format will be a TXF file not a PDF. click on the link and then download. (notice the folder it's downloaded to) note only the k-1 will be downloaded no states no K-3.
once downloaded rename it to the name of the partnership otherwise if you had it last year the import will not be to the old K-1 but a new one.
i note that as of today certain of these have turn off the ability to export to Turbotax
if it's available and you want to import
in turbotax click on the file tab
then import
select from accounting software
select other accounting software (.txf)
continue
you may need to browse to find the file
select it
then import now
note that once the import is complete you may still need to work on the k-1 to complete all info such as 199A, certain line codes with multiple possibilities and possibly other info
is it worth it vs manual entry? a matter of personal judgement
