Can I get a .tax file from last year when I used the software download? Due to a laptop crash I no longer have the file on my machine. Please help!

Sorry but TurboTax does not have copies of returns filed with the Desktop software. You can get a transcript of your return from the IRS

Copies of your tax return completed in the software download are saved to your computer. TurboTax Online does not keep a copy of the completed returns. You can request a free copy of your tax return transcript from the IRS or pay $50 for your exact return from the IRS. https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3301999
