Can I file without a form being ready?

I know my numbers are correct so can I just file my return? How long should it be before I get my refund?

Sorry, but no you can't.  (And it probably doesn't matter, as the IRS isn't going to begin accepting returns until January 23.)

There's no hurry to file.  Even though you can submit your efile to Turbo Tax they will just hold them until the IRS opens on Jan 23
