The IRS issued three stimulus payments. If you didn’t receive the payments, you may be eligible to claim a Recovery Rebate Credit on your 2020 or 2021 tax returns. If you haven’t filed tax returns for those years, you can still file both tax returns using TurboTax. Follow this link to purchase the TurboTax software to File your 2021 taxes.  You can also make the selection to purchase the software to prepare your 2020 taxes. You must download the software to your Windows or Mac computer. You must file your 2020 tax return by April 15, 2024, to get a refund.

If you have already filed your 2020 and 2021 tax returns in TurboTax review the TurboTax article: How do I amend my federal tax return for a prior year? to amend your taxes so you may claim the Recovery Rebate Credit.

You can check your IRS Online Account to view the total amount of your stimulus payments.

Review the IRS website Recovery Rebate Credit for more information.

If you could be claimed as someone else's dependent for 2020 or 2021, you will not be eligible for the recovery rebate credit.
