If you purchased TurboTax 2016 during the calendar year of 2016, you will include the cost on your 2016 tax return. If you paid for TurboTax during 2017, you will add to next years return.
To add Tax preparation Fees

Sign In or Open TurboTax
2.
Click on "Take me to my
return" (Online)
3.
Select "My account" on
top right of screen (Online)
4.
Click on "Tools" (Online)
5.
Choose "Topic Search" (Online)
or "Search Topics" (Desktop)
6.
Type "Tax preparation fees" and
push "go" (Online) or “ok” (Desktop).
