Can an IRS copy be input to the program

I ended up generating two Amended forms.  the IES wants me to delete the middle form so just the original and final amended forms show up.  The original was not copied or kept before filing.  I do have The IRS down load.  How do I put the IRS data into the program so I amend it?

    If you did your return using TurboTax online, you should be able to cancel your amendments and then just verify the information with your IRS transcript.

    1. Open your return, and make sure you are in the same account that you used for the original return.
    2. In the left menu, select Cancel Amend.
    3. Select Yes, I want to cancel my amended return and Continue.
    4. Remove any forms or changes you made to your return before or after the amend process was canceled.
    5. Add back in any forms you deleted while amending your return.

    At that point, you can print your return and compare it to your IRS transcript. Make sure everything matches, not just the resulting refund or tax due.

    Once you are certain you have the original return reproduced, you can start your amendment again.

    This can be a confusing thing to do, so you may want to ask for help from a tax professional from within the the program.

    @emilfjurak

    Are you using TurboTax CD/download program or the TurboTax amend program?

    you can't have a middle 1040-X so I don't know what you mean by that. Maybe you can explain more.

    When you're ready to send the one and only final Form 1040-X,

    you do not include your old 1040, nor your revised 1040 because the Form 1040-X reflects any changes there and becomes your new tax return.
