How do we deduct the money we paid for Beverage Recycling. It is a fee, that is not optional when purchasing beverages. Also, how can they charge $.25 for a wine box when it is not recyclable?

    There is no deduction.

"Also, how can they charge $.25 for a wine box when it is not recyclable? "  Your question is not a tax question.   If you are unhappy with a state law pertaining to recycling, contact a state legislator.  Or drink less wine.

You can deduct real property taxes (taxes assessed on land, and things attached to land).

You can deduct state and local income tax.

If you choose not to deduct state and local income tax, you can deduct state and local sales tax.  However, this only applies to general sales taxes--taxes that are charged at the same rate on all general goods and services.  Special additional taxes on certain types of items are never deductible, even if you choose to deduct general sales tax.

These fees are not deductible forms of income or general sales tax.
