doing taxes this year I realized I did not see the loss carryover being asked about or applied. so I sent questions and was basically told not to worry that my last years data was there. But at the end I was not able to see the Return until after I entered it to send. Then I saw that this carryover was not there. I reached out to experts and was told nothing could be done until I got the notice the return was accepted. This came fairly quick. While waiting, I poked more into the Turbotax program and discovered a page that said this form D was not available on the tax program I was doing. That information would have been helpful to have had during the process and not after. Some expert should have said no, you had this last year but if you want that, you have to upgrade and pay more. I was not given this advice. so now the return needs to be amended. Will that mistake be handled by Turbotax or do I need to go straight to the IRS?
account is under Gordon W and Carolyn S [phone number removed]. I had a case number [phone number removed] however that seems cancelled.
