Hello
I am working on my business taxes using turbo tax Business
The business is a LLC Multi member Partnership (Husband and Wife). It uses a registered agent in New Mexico were we incorporated.
Last year we filed using our Az address. Since AZ is a common state law and it was our address.
This year we moved to GA. Not a common-law state. So we think we should use the NM address as appears on our registration and file income taxes in NM. We have no income but we still have to file the correct state.
The flow has me add form 8822 for the change of address.
I am then ok this time buying NM as my state?
Thank you

You can certainly file your business return using the address of the registered agent as the business address. Provided the registered agent is willing to forward any correspondence to you. This does open you up to having to file New Mexico state tax returns in addition to Georgia (and Arizona if you were still there for part of 2021).
The business is online and has no physical address. Do I still have to file in two states?
Or can I just file in GA?
You have a business that earned no income or you have a business with expenses that eliminated the income? If you earned income, you file returns for the states where you made money, generally speaking. A return may be needed if you made enough money to owe tax, generally before the deductions. You will need to check each state's guidelines. Multiple States - Where To File - TurboTax Tax Tips & Videos.
If you made no money at all anywhere, then the state where you are registered is necessary. Your resident state will probably require a return as well. Check the state requirements above.
