I have purchased new office equipment and furniture for my home office that is about $8500-$9000. Will TurboTax allow this to be fully amortized at the first year vs multiple years so I can get the biggest write-off this year?

Yes. Certainly. You will utilize the Section 179 deduction for this. This will allow you to fully depreciate this purchase in one year.
