It's stupid and bizarre. I literally cannot believe this got past TurboTax QC testing.
This oddball screen popped up when we chose to eFile our TT Business 1041 trust return. It's supposed to be some kind of security quiz to ensure it's only YOU doing the e-filing.
Horrible design. Terrible embarrassing proofreading and coding!! Impossible to follow.
The President of MENSA would be baffled by this. Took us 30 minutes to figure out what was meant.
Please read the strange wording.
It's followed by a bunch of phony form numbers that DONT EXIST in our 1041 return.
Thus, the correct answer is the MISSPELLED one at the end that is supposed to read "Box A" and "N/A". But, LOOK at how they typed that when they sloppily coded it!
For coders and software QC testers like me,my head explodes. I do not understand how such careless and sloppy coding went out to the public.
But, what's important here is that 99% of the people upon arriving at this security quiz page would NOT be able to figure it out because the on-page instructions are an incomprehensible "can I buy another word please" disaster. Epic fail.
And the correct answer is "Bxna"? Believe it or not. That was the correct answer. In English, that's "Box N/A" as in Not Applicable, or "none of the above".
Why not just type/code it as: "None of the above?"
And they charge $190 for this crap.
Shame!
I'm returning my copy for a full refund. 3rd time in 10 years.
