I'm amending a previous year return and my W-2 is giving the turbotax program some issues. In box C my employer address is a PO box in Washington. In box 15, the state listed there (as well as the state I worked in) is Oregon. Turbotax says the zip code in box C needs to match the state in box 15.
This w-2 is official and printed, both C and 15 are filled out. The address in box c is for a settlement fund I received when my employer's company closed down, so there's no physical address for the business anymore.
Should I use the zip code for the Employer's address (the PO box)? And if I do, will that make this W-2 and out-of-state wage? I don't want to write something that is not what is typed on the W-2.

The Employer's zip code does not have to match the state in Box 15 (the state where you earned the income).
It doesn't matter what state the Payer (or Employer) is located in, it only matters where you earned the income.
You won't have to report the income to the state that the Employer is located in.
Enter your W-2 exactly as it is is shown on the form.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, Delete the W-2 and re-enter it.
