Because of an anticipated company acquisition, my stock options are expected to convert into either cash or stock of another company. I wanted to understand the MA taxes
MA has income tax of 5% and short term capital gains tax rate of 12%
Would this transaction be taxed at 12%?
Can I sell other short term losers to reduce the tax bite or is this limited to $3k?
