Auto taxes

TT has a message stating that property taxes are deductible although it excludes auto taxes. Are auto taxes deductible in 2024? If so, where do you enter them?

If you paid sales tax on an auto purchased in 2024, you may be able to deduct it if you are itemizing your deductions.

You can get to the Turbo Tax screens to enter your sales tax as follows:

1. Click on the search icon in the upper right of your TurboTax screen
2. Type "sales tax" in the search bar and hit enter
3. Click on the link "Jump to sales tax"
