After going through all data entry, TT never asked me any questions related to AMT and/or form 6251. 6251 is not in my list of completed forms. Can I assume that because there is no 6251 and the interview process did not prompt any AMT type questions that I do not owe any AMT? I have paid AMT in the past.
I should mention that I did need to fill out Form 1116 due to foreign taxes paid being over $600. I selected the simplified method and am confident that I did not have to fill out form 1116 in the same year as paying AMT.
So why is TT not asking me any questions related to 6251?

Yes, if there is no 6251, you are clear. The form is fully functional so it would be there, if needed. Things change each year and maybe there is a question answered wrong or some other issue. Since you want to check, be sure to see what's new below and you can verify your answers in the program.
Instructions for Form 6251 state:
Exemption amount.
The exemption amount on Form 6251, line 5, has increased to $85,700 ($133,300 if married filing jointly or qualifying surviving spouse; $66,650 if married filing separately).
Also, the amount used to determine the phaseout of your exemption has increased to $609,350 ($1,218,700 if married filing jointly or qualifying surviving spouse).
AMT tax brackets.
For 2024, for non-corporate taxpayers, the 26% tax rate applies to the first $232,600 ($116,300 if married filing separately) of taxable excess (the amount on line 6). This change is reflected on lines 7, 18, and 39.

Thanks for you response. I downloaded a separate 6251 form from the IRS and filled it out. Unfortunately it shows I would owe AMT this year. Assuming I filled the form out correctly (I went over it several times), TT would be not adding AMT when it should be. Is there any suggestion you can make to double check my entries in TT online to see what is going on.
I went through the downloaded form again and filled it out again. It appears I had some entries wrong, it is showing I don't owe AMT as TT determined through the data entry. Thanks for your assistance.
