Are unemployment benefits included for the EIC calculation? TT is including. I want to use my 2019 earned income which is higher when excluding 2020 unemployment

My EIC is not using the 2019

Because unemployment is not earned income, you will want to use you 2019 earned income instead.  

Here are the steps to do that:

• Sign into your TurboTax account  and Select Search at the top right
• Type earned income tax credit and 
   Select Jump to earned income tax credit
  
  You will see a screen that asks if you want to use 2019 earned income and select yes to use 2019 earned income to have TurboTax calculate the 2020 EIC
