I'm a college student. I made less than the standard deduction in income, but got tips. Because I have tips, Turbo Tax wants me to upgrade to "Deluxe" for $55. And now, filing my state return is going to cost almost $40, for a grand total of almost $100. I've got one W-2 with tip income, and interest from a single bank. Surely there's a cheaper way to file than paying out $100.
