ARE NURSES THAT WORK IN CORRECTIONAL FACILITIES PSO IRS SAYS EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVIVES FOR A STATE OR MUNICIPALITY

Most likely yes, a Correctional officer/employee would be considered a Public Safety Officer as long as you are responsibile for public safety and/or share the responsibilities of a Correctional Officer.

The scope of the Correctional Officer position correlates with public safety, which has the primary goal of protecting the public and keeping them safe.
