My federal returns were rejected for 1095-a form. I went back in, certified it was not required, then when I hit transmit again the application keeps closing out and reopening and does not let me re-transmit. has this happened to anyone else?

If you are sure that no one on the return was on an ACA Marketplace plan, you can follow the steps below to certify that you did not receive a 1095-A:

    1. Select Federal from the left menu, then Deductions & Credits.

    2. Navigate to Medical and select Show More.

    3. Select Start or Revisit next to Affordable Care Act (Form 1095-A).

    4. You'll be asked if you received a 1095-A. Select No.

    5. Select the statement indicating you did not receive a 1095-A. By selecting this certification, you will be able to e-file your return and meet the requirements of reject code F8962-070.

    6. Select File from the left menu and continue through the process to resubmit your return.

If you already followed the steps above and you continue having issues, sometimes you need to clear your cache (that is, remove these temporary files) because a full or corrupted cache can cause problems in TurboTax.  You can try these steps if you are using the online version:

    • Clearing your Cache and Cookies
    • Using a different browser
    • Opening an Incognito Window

Please reach out again if your problem persists.

Thank you. I did exactly all that. I even removed uninstalled the application and reinstalled it and did the taxes over again, and it does the same thing.

I’m wondering if it’s a bug with the 2025 TurboTax that needs to be updated? I guess I’ll have to reach out to TurboTax, but I’m afraid cause they never answer.  Thanks.

Do you guys have medical expenses on your return? And if so are there premium expenses listed?
