Another Aflac question

Thankfully, I have an Aflac cancer policy which provides benefits for chemotherapy and travel for treatment. I travel 775 miles one way to seek specialized care. Aflac reimburses me for mileage and part of the hotel cost. I am looking to claim the expenses I have incurred for rental car and hotel above the minimal amount. I am correct in assuming I must deduct any payments from Aflac from my actual costs to claim this credit? TIA

Yes, you would deduct any reimbursements by insurance for medical expenses, before listing the remainder as a schedule A medical expense.
