We cannot see whether you used online TurboTax or desktop (CD/download). The fees to use TurboTax are to use the software to prepare the tax returns--the fee is not for e-filing. The fee is the same whether you e-file it or mail it. Remember that rejections of e-files come from the IRS--not TurboTax. There are some rejections that cannot be fixed. When that happens you have to mail the return.
There is one exception---with desktop software you pay an extra state e-filing fee. If you paid that fee and could not e-file your state you can ask for that to be credited back to you.
