Amending for dependent 2023

I had already filled my return and it had been rejected. My Girlfriend and I were never married normally she is the one to claim our son. This year we agreed that I can claim him. I’m not sure what I should do in order properly correct this

Did your return reject because she already claimed your son?  You will have to print and mail your return this year to claim him.  She will have to amend her return to take him off.  Even if she amends you won't be able to efile so you don't have to wait to mail your return.
