amending a 2016 return

Is it too late to amend a 2016 return or does the changed filing extension date apply to amended returns where money is due back to the taxpayer.

You can still amend your 2016 return--the deadline was changed to July 15, 2020.

Thank you. On the IRS website the way I read it was the new deadline only applied to 2019 filings regarding people who owe the IRS money. I guess I will just file it and see if they accept it or not.
