Amending 2018

I am trying to amend my 2018 tax return. when we filed we put $0 down for amount owed for 2017. This was because the 2017 return had not been accepted yet. It has since been accepted and we need to update the return for 2018.

Not sure what you are trying to do.  There is nowhere on a federal tax return that you indicate how much you still owe for a previous tax year.  Your 2018 return would not have asked you if you still owed for 2017.

Do you mean you entered 0 for the 2017 AGI to efile 2018?  You don't need to enter that anymore.  What is your question about Amending 2018?
