Using Turbo Tax I started and nearly completed my 2020 return. Filed for extension. Then, using T/T had to amend my 2019 return. When I return to finish my 2020 return must I start all over with a new return or is there a way to get the new data from the 2019 amended return automatically downloaded? Thanks.

It will be a new return for 2020. Some personal information might be transferred over to 2020 program for verification, for example names, types of income and deduction. If 2020 information is different than 2019, for example you were not working the same job as 2019, you can edit or remove the company's name.

Thanks - I was able to use the 2020 return I had started; just had to revise K-1 loss carry-forward data to equate with data on 2019 amended return as that was only change. Appreciate your response.
