Amended paper work

When filing an amended tax return, do I need to include a copy of the original return or just the amended paper work?

on your amended return cover sheet it tells you what paper work you need to send in.

What You  Need to Mail:   

Your amended tax return - Form 1040-X.

Remember to sign and date  the return.

| Attach all forms or schedules that changed to your amended | return.
