For my 2019 taxes, I tried using TurboTax for the first time. I incorrectly added data to the Traditional and Roth IRA Contributions section (I added the number that had already been accounted for in my W-2). When I was going to file my taxes, TurboTax told me I'd made an excess contribution (because I added data in the wrong place). I ended up manually filling out the tax form and submitting it to the IRS last year.
When I'm filling out my taxes for 2020, it's carrying over data from last year and showing that I contributed $6,351.00 to my IRA last year (the bad data) and it's saying I'll have to pay a penalty.
How do I fix the incorrect data from last year? I thought Amending my last year's return was in order to re-submit it to the IRS, but there's nothing wrong with what I submitted last year, the bad data only exists inside the TurboTax software/website.

Delete the "IRA Information Worksheet" and "IRA Contribution Worksheet" to remove all carry-over information.
Hi, thanks for the reply.
I only see the "IRA Information Worksheet", not the Contribution one. And deleting the Information Worksheet didn't help.
Since this is related to information carried over from the previous year, would it be in the "Carryover Worksheet"? I can't see an option to View the contents of those forms, so I can't tell.
