When you amend your return and add income, it can change other items on your return. For example, you may also receive social security and the taxable amount would change. Your itemization amounts would also change. It is possible to enter $1680 and have a $3,108 change.
As for the $71 refund that vanished, I am not sure what you are saying. Did you have $71 refund on original return or amended return? You checked the numbers and the $71 become no refund? You may need another set of eyes on the return. You can fill this form out for someone to call you. You are welcome to reply back with more information. I don't understand how numbers would change from just looking at forms.
Yes I have the answers I needed thank you!!👍
